Dinners Together are happening now. Please be part of this great opportunity to enjoy a few evenings and meals with others from The Journey and maybe make some new friends. If you want to be a part, contact Terri in the church office.
Allison Jones, our Children’s Ministry Director, and a team of others are getting ready to do some major upgrade work in our children’s building before the Fall, including flooring, paint, and some structural repairs. This isn’t just about updating an old, tired building; it is about building the Kingdom. If parents don’t feel their kids will be safe, they won’t entrust them to us, which means we lose an opportunity to teach them about Jesus.
Did you know that our youth ministry has grown by 250% in the past six months? Or that we have the potential for doubling again right now, with kids that are already part of or closely connected to The Journey? Keli Rudd and Eiley have been working hard to create some youth activities for the summer that will engage the kids we have, the ones coming into Middle School and High School, and their friends. Details are still coming out, but stay tuned and get the word out to your friends and youth you know.
Also this month, Eiley and I will be taking our first vacation in over a year, getting some much needed R&R. We’ll have a couple guest speakers at The Journey, one on July 14 and another on the 21st and 28th. I’m excited about what these fresh voices will bring to us from God’s Word. I almost want to be here myself to hear them!
Indeed, summer is a time to really live, and I hope you will do a lot of your living around The Journey.
I love being your pastor!
