In our quest to be healthy, to be whole hearted, we’ve spent the past few weeks on a journey inward and downward...down into the caverns of our hearts and into the dark areas of our past. It has involved small deaths
of things that are comfortable and familiar, but thing that keep us from
living in the freedom and life that God wants for us. Many of you have commented how hard the journey is, and how good.
As we continue our quest this month, we’ll begin moving back up and into the light of the hope that is ours through Jesus Christ. We’ll discover tools and practices that will keep us on the path of health and wholeness. We want to develop rhythms of life—like silence and solitude, and the daily office--that allow us to slow down and simply be with God instead of
feeling the constant pressure to do for Him.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. The work we’re doing now and
the practices we’re learning are so important for disciples of Jesus who want to see our community and our world transformed. But we are still barely scratching the surface of these matters. If you would like join a
small group of others to explore in greater depth, please let me know.
